Therefore, the incubator needed some additional sources of income in order to be sustainable. It has three sources of revenue. As for most incubators, a first important source of income is the rent for office space. However, spin-offs in the pre-incubation phase (12 in 2003) do not pay any rent! The second source of income is the support Chalmers Innovation receives from government agencies.
